Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3, and the Tipton County Election Commission has posted where everyone votes. On the ballot: the state and federal general election, plus municipal elections, according to the county.

The quick version: There are nine Election Day polling locations across the county. Bring a federal or Tennessee state government-issued photo ID, which the commission says is required unless an exception applies.

Where to vote

Here’s the county’s list, by voting district and precinct:

  • Northeast Covington (D-1), Precinct 1: Canaan Baptist Church, 211 N. Main St., Covington
  • Southeast Covington (D-2), Precinct 3: Covington Church of Christ, 1690 Highway 51 S., Covington
  • Tipton West (D-3), Precinct 6: Garland Community Center, 1598 Garland Dr., Covington
  • Atoka (D-4), Precinct 11: Gateway Baptist Church, Tanner Family Life Center, 1915 Rosemark Rd., Atoka
  • Munford (D-5), Precinct 12: Munford Baptist Church Family Life Center, 1253 Munford Ave., Munford
  • Southwest Tipton (D-6), Precinct 14: Poplar Grove United Methodist, 228 Quito Drummonds Rd., Drummonds
  • Austin Peay (D-7), Precinct 19: Greenleaf Community Church, 9703 Highway 59 S., Mason
  • W. Wilkinsville (D-8), Precinct 21: St. Mark’s M.B. Church, 3220 Wilkinsville Rd., Drummonds
  • Brighton (D-9), Precinct 22: Brighton Baptist Church, 132 E. Woodlawn Ave., Brighton

Absentee ballots

The absentee counting board convenes at 4 p.m. on Election Day at the Tipton County Election Commission office, 113 E. Church Ave. in Covington.

Results

The county’s election page says Nov. 3 results for the state/federal general and municipal elections are “coming soon.” Our Tipton will post local results once they’re in.
